I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York City. For over 15 years, I have provided services to individuals facing a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, medical illness, disability and loss.
As a therapist, I work collaboratively with clients. Often life events such as a loss, illness or a traumatic experience can stop us in our tracks and affect personal growth, professional life and relationships. I see the therapeutic relationship as one where the client and therapist come together to address concerns, suffering, and the “stuck places” we all face as human beings at moments in life that keep us from accepting ourselves and living the lives we wish to live.
When meeting someone and beginning to work together, the focus is on the individual’s life and what approaches might help the individual to grow and make the changes they wish to make. I work from a Mindfulness-Based Therapy perspective and integrate traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dynamic theory in therapeutic work.
Currently, I offer the following services:
- Individual psychotherapy for a wide range of concerns
- One-on-one training in mindfulness meditation, mindful living and stress management
- Workshops and trainings in mindfulness-based approaches to managing stress and illness
- Clinical supervision for therapists
